It streamlines the pre-test workflow by measuring refractive error, corneal curvature, and intraocular pressure without moving the patient between instruments. This unit is factory refurbished and backed by a 1-year warranty.
The NIDEK TonoRef II is a second-generation multi-function measurement system designed to perform objective refraction, corneal shape measurement, and non-contact tonometry from one station. By integrating three instruments into a single space-saving unit, it improves patient flow and reduces the equipment footprint in the exam lane.
For intraocular pressure, the built-in non-contact tonometer features APC (Automatic Puff Control), which adjusts the strength of the air puff based on the patient’s first IOP reading — delivering a softer, quieter measurement for greater patient comfort, including in glaucoma suspects.
The TonoRef II uses 3D auto-alignment with auto-tracking and auto-shot: once the operator aligns the head with the patient’s eye, the instrument tracks the eye and triggers acquisition automatically, making it easy to use even for newer operators. Its pupil imaging method analyzes a wider area (up to ø4 mm) for more reliable refraction data and can measure through pupils as small as ø2 mm.
Results are shown on a tiltable 5.7-inch color LCD with clear graphical icons, and data can be exported to compatible EMR systems for a seamless record.
