The Tomey EM-4000 Specular Microscope is a non-contact device designed for advanced endothelial cell analysis and corneal assessment. It features automatic and manual analysis modes, wide peripheral capture capability, built-in printer, and a large 10.4” color LCD touch screen.
Engineered for speed, accuracy, and patient comfort, the EM-4000 provides comprehensive endothelial evaluation including cell density (CD), CV, HEX, corneal thickness, and advanced morphological analysis.
The Tomey EM-4000 delivers precise, high-resolution imaging of the corneal endothelium using a non-contact photographic method. With a capture range of 0.25 mm to 0.54 mm, the system enables visualization of both central and peripheral endothelial areas, increasing diagnostic accuracy in patients with corneal opacity or compromised transparency.
The unit allows imaging at the center plus 14 peripheral points, significantly expanding diagnostic coverage compared to standard single-point systems.

If automatic detection is affected by corneal pathology, users can easily switch to manual or semi-automatic analysis modes for optimal reliability.

The EM-4000 minimizes operator-dependent errors by continuously capturing up to 16 images in a single operation, automatically selecting the best image for analysis. This increases workflow efficiency and enhances patient comfort.
