The Haag-Streit R900 Applanation Tonometer (also known as the AT 900 Model R) is a Swiss-manufactured Goldmann-type tonometer used to measure intraocular pressure (IOP) on a slit lamp. Goldmann applanation tonometry remains the clinical gold standard for IOP measurement.

Marked HAAG-STREIT BERN – Swiss Made, this R900 unit mounts on the slit lamp microscope via a mounting base and swivels into position in front of the microscope when a measurement is taken. It can be left permanently mounted thanks to its parking position, and observation of the applanated surface is performed monocularly through the eyepiece.
This unit is offered in used condition. It works with reusable Goldmann measuring prisms (or compatible disposable prisms) and is intended for use with Haag-Streit R900-compatible slit lamps.

Because Goldmann tonometry uses a small, fixed applanation area, scleral rigidity has minimal influence on the readings, allowing for reliable and reproducible IOP measurement in daily clinical practice.
